Yoga and Yoga Therapy

Classical Hatha Yoga emphasizes coordinating movement with breath. In this way, one moves slowly and mindfully through a series of postures that increases energy, reduces stress, enhances health, encourages a positive attitude toward life, and improves concentration. Classical Yoga incorporates the sister science of Ayurveda within the practice to balance all three doshas or constitutions of human beings. Yoga helps you reconnect with your body to observe the changes and allow natural healing to occur.

Yoga therapy is a one-to-one experience where specific issues or concerns are addressed. The focus is multi-faceted combining "sister sciences" of yoga and ayurveda, restoring your body to health. Sessions involve the client as a participant in their own healing process.

Jin Shin Jyutsu(R)

Jin Shin Jyutsu ® is a healing art from ancient Japanese tradition. It does not involve massage or manipulation of bones or muscles. It is a gentle art practiced by applying fingertip pressure on designated energy locations on the body to harmonize and restore the energy flow. Illness results when the normal flow of energy is disrupted or blocked by stress, injury, environment, or attitude. Jin Shin Jyutsu is for those who want to become actively responsible for maintaining their own health and happiness. Jin Shin Jyutsu is a simple and powerful tool for dealing with stress, chronic and acute health disharmonies, for health maintenance, and sustained high energy.

Private sessions are by appointment and usually last about 1 hour.

Blissful Touch Reflexology

Reflexology is more than a good foot massage, it is a gentle and holistic healing art. Reflexology uses mild to deep pressure on the feet or hands and accesses reflex points that correspond to different areas of the body. The pressure applied to the reflex points is soothing and relaxing. With over 7000 nerve endings on the soles of the feet, this makes them quite sensitive and responsive to the sensory input of reflexology. Responses to Reflexology vary widely from feeling calm and relaxed to experiencing feelings of energy and rejuvenation.

18-Style Qi Gong

Qi Gong roughly translates to "energy work" in English. This style has eighteen movements, some of which are rather challanging to learn. These movements improve health by moving the qi or energy and strengthening the internal organs, mainly the liver, kidneys, and bone marrow. Often called the practice of longevity because its practitioners seem to live long, healthy lives.
